your digital tools are flat. your mind is not.
this mismatch = cognitive friction.
a constant, quiet tax on our focus.
the primary source of cognitive overload. (this is especially true for the 15-20% of us who are neurodivergent —we feel the friction of flat, linear interfaces every day.)
i've been working on an alternative. an experiment in cognitive liberation 💆🏻♀️
radial architecture , built on a neurocognitive spatial framework:
- radial architecture to capture the passing of time
- concentric rings for the organization for retrieving information retrieval based on time-dependency/actionable items. (outer layer closers to the clock for quick retrieval; inner layer for longer term resources/areas)
this is an early rendering of the core idea. project KAIROS.
i'm building this for those of us who feel OWNED by our current interfaces. but before i go further, im curious.. is it just me?
what is the single biggest source of cognitive noise in your digital life?
what do you wish your tools would do for your focus?
