I believe there’s an inherent “good” in form. by form i mean it as broad as the word can be. the relationship between arts and sciences. It taught me to be a good person.
what does form tell us
- the relationship between information
- hierarchy
- direction
1. Organization of Information:
- Form provides a structure for organizing information. It dictates how different pieces of information are laid out and presented. This can be through visual elements like tables, charts, or layouts, or through non-visual elements like headings, subheadings, and bullet points.
2. Establishing Hierarchy:
- Form can establish a hierarchy of importance. By using different sizes, placements, and emphasis on information elements, the form indicates what's most important and what's supplementary.
3. Directing Attention and Flow:
- Form directs our attention and guides us through the information. The way elements are arranged, connected, and highlighted creates a flow that guides the reader or viewer through the most important aspects first.
Think of it this way: Imagine a newspaper article. The headline (large and bold) tells you the main topic. Subheadings create a hierarchy within the article. Bullet points organize information within a section. All these elements are part of the "form" that guides you through the information in a specific order, highlighting the most important details first.
